From campsites in the Carpathians to ostrich farms in the steppes of the Dnipropetrovsk region — ecotourism in Ukraine is gaining momentum. We have gathered seven locations where you can relax in nature with comfort, meet animals, try new activities, and simply unwind.

Green Farm “Haystack”

The “Haystack” farm in the Chernihiv region is a place for slow-paced relaxation among berry fields, animals, and beautiful landscapes.

Here you can ride horses, visit a petting zoo or a moose enclosure, where rescued moose live. One of the favorite attractions is the bee house, where you can lie down under the buzzing of bees and experience the effects of apitherapy. The farm owner holds tea ceremonies and workshops on making labneh cheese balls. By prior arrangement, you can book a tour, a gazebo, or a barbecue area to spend time outdoors at your leisure.

Berries here are not just sold — you are allowed to pick them right from the field and enjoy eating them fresh from the bush. For an additional fee, you can take your harvest home.

  • Location: Parkhymiv village, Chernihiv region, highway T 1008
  • Entrance fee: adults – 70 UAH, children from 3 years – 50 UAH, children under 3 and military personnel – free

Camping “White Elephant”

Dzembronia village is one of the highest in Ukraine, and here, at an altitude of 720 meters, the “White Elephant” camp is located. This place is for those who want to escape city noise and spend a few days in the mountains.

You can hire a guide and go trekking to Mount Pip Ivan Chornohirskyi, which gave its name to the entire ridge and is famous for its observatory. Or plan a bike ride, horseback trip, hike to the Hungarian Rocks, mushroom picking in the forest, or rafting on the Chornyi Cheremosh River.

After an active day, you can relax in a wood-fired sauna with a mini pool and restroom, participate in evening movie screenings, attend a workshop on the veranda, or try the climbing wall for free — one of the highest in Ukraine. Trekking, freeride, and skitour equipment rental is also available on site.

  • Location: Dzembronia village, Verkhovyna district, Ivano-Frankivsk region
  • Accommodation prices: from 330 UAH per day per person (for a spot under your tent)

Deer Park “On the Horns”

After the de-occupation of Musiyky village in the Kyiv region, not just a park but a vivid example of how to carefully restore life appeared here. Lawyer Serhiy Boyarchukov founded a deer farm here, which later evolved into an eco-park focused on the selective breeding of deer and restoring their population in Ukraine. Some of the raised animals are released into the wild annually.

Today, the park is home to over 70 deer of New Zealand and Austrian breeds, as well as about 25 does. The conditions are close to natural, but the animals are not afraid of people and can be fed apples. Sometimes — if you’re lucky — you might get a “deer kiss.”

The park also offers horseback riding, fishing areas, open grills, and chef’s barbecues. Occasionally, themed brunches among the animals are held here.

The park operates by prior appointment. You can book a tour by phone at 068–308–80–80 or via Instagram.

  • Location: Musiyky village, Ivankiv district, Kyiv region
  • Tour price: 500 UAH per person, children under 3 years – free

Camping “Varyag’s Harbor”

“Varyag’s Harbor” is a camping site on the banks of the Dniester River, where relaxation combines sports, eco-friendliness, and remembrance of historical heritage.

Located in the villages of Deleva and Dolyna, it gained fame for its unique water journeys. In cooperation with the “Medieval Shipyard” team, they organize rafting trips on replicas of medieval boats — a five-meter drakkar and a nine-meter Rus’ ladya. During the journey, you can learn how to steer a ship, discover ancestral crafts, try on authentic clothing, taste ancient cuisine dishes, and immerse yourself in the era.

You can also rent equipment here, choose a route according to your skill level, and go on a guided trip, on foot or by bike.

  • Location: Deleva and Dolyna villages, Ivano-Frankivsk district, Ivano-Frankivsk region
  • Accommodation prices: from 350 UAH per day per person (for a spot under your tent)
  • Additional activities: two-day rafting on a boat from the Varangians and Medieval Rus’ era — 6800 UAH per person

Family Eco-Hotel “Rodosvit” with Farm and Zoo

“Rodosvit” is not just a farm with a hotel but a fully formed microcosm for family vacations: with its eco-farm, restaurant, pool, and fishing lake.

Located 90 km from Kyiv, the complex operates during the warm seasons, from Thursday to Sunday, and welcomes guests in a homey, peaceful atmosphere. Check-in begins with a signature pie featuring a poppy seed filling and caramelized apples.

The territory offers bike rentals; in May, the outdoor pool opens, and the lake contains at least six species of fish. Fresh catch can be grilled or taken home to enjoy. For children, there is a contact mini zoo with meerkats, ponies, goats, rabbits, guinea fowls, and guinea pigs; sheep on the farm; swings, slides, and a sports ground. For adults, an oak sauna and a hay swing with the aroma of steppe herbs, after which you are wrapped in warm sheepskins.

Booking is by phone 068–800–28–00; visits only by prior appointment.

  • Location: Zhytnyi Hory village, Bila Tserkva district, Kyiv region
  • Accommodation prices: from 6,000 UAH per day (for two people)

Tree Camping Na Nebi Camp

Na Nebi Camp is the first camping site in Ukraine featuring suspended tents set amidst the mountainous landscape of Zakarpattia. It’s called “a camp-like childhood, but for adults.”

Here, simplicity, nature, and comfort combine: you live in a tent but have a hot shower with a mountain view, a restroom, Wi-Fi, a kitchen with dishes, and a refrigerator. There is a gazebo for rainy weather, a bean bag area, tennis, board games, and an open-air “mountain” cinema. Also available are hiking trips, rafting, chill sessions in hot tubs, yoga, tea ceremonies, and nail stands to refresh body and mind.

The camp offers programs lasting 3, 4, or 6 days, complete with guides, all necessary equipment, three meals a day, and comfortable accommodations.

  • Location: Dubove settlement, Zakarpattia region
  • Tour prices: from 3500 UAH (for 3 days/2 nights)

Farm “Ostrich Land”

At the “Ostrich Land” farm near Kryvyi Rih, a weekend awaits you amid nature, animals, and birds from around the world. African ostriches, guanacos, pheasants, peacocks, rabbits, goats, piglets, fur and dwarf chickens live here — and that’s far from the complete list.

Daily from 10:00 to 17:00, tours are conducted where you can learn interesting facts about ostriches, see them up close, and even feed them by hand.

For guests, there is a mini zoo, picnic gazebos, children’s attractions, and a café serving dishes made from ostrich meat and eggs. Farm products are also available for purchase.

  • Location: Hruzke village, Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region
  • Entrance fee: adults – 150 UAH, children – 100 UAH
